Tea for Two

Kindergarteners in Donna Dooley’s Increase Miller Elementary class enjoyed a Tea for Two celebration on Friday, right before Mother’s Day! The kindergarteners each invited a special guest to a tea party in the classroom.

The class did a lot of preparation and planning. The students made fascinators for their guests. They also participated in a "manners bootcamp" earlier in the week so that they were ready to be perfect hosts.

“We performed three songs, including a song performed in sign language,” said Dooley. “We served our guests iced tea and lemonade, fresh fruit and animal crackers, and even remembered to place our napkins in our laps as soon as we were seated. It was a wonderful morning!”
