25 Year Milestone

Celebrating a Milestone at KLSD!

Opening Day—the day before the first day of classes—when educators and administrators gather in order to step into the new year together,  is also a time to celebrate staff anniversaries.

Dr. Neill Alleva, assistant superintendent of human resources, led the recognition of staff who have been at KLSD for 25 years. He put the milestone in context: “In 1990, when these educators came to Katonah-Lewisboro, ‘Titanic’ was the hit new movie, Brittany Spears ruled MTV and gas was … $1.”

“I am so proud to be part of a school community where people stay this long,” said Julia Hadlock, president of the Katonah-Lewisboro Schools Board of Education, acknowledging the positive impact of staff longevity on students. “The Board of Education is proud to serve this learning community. We know our schools are what they are because of everyone in this room.”

Congratulations on 25 years at KLSD!
