Teacher and Principal Evaluation System

Katonah-Lewisboro School District has a New York State Education Department (NYSED) approved, 3012-d compliant, APPR plan that will remain in effect and be implemented for the 2020-2021 school year. Our plan involves an observation component and a student performance component for both teachers and principals, as per NYSED’s APPR requirements.   

If there is a reason to revisit any aspect of the plan (due to changing circumstances related to COVID-19), the Katonah-Lewisboro District Teachers Association (KLDTA), Katonah-Lewisboro Association of Administrators and Supervisors (KLAAS), and KLSD will enter into negotiations around any necessary changes. Our Associations and the District work in good faith to provide all students with an engaging and relevant learning experience, aligned with our Katonah-Lewisboro Learning Commitment and NYS Learning Standards.
