Leadership Update: Asst. Supt. for Business

June 14, 2019

Dear KLSD Families,

It is not quite time to wish all a good summer, but it’s getting close. We look forward to moving up ceremonies and graduation in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I want to share some leadership news and an important reminder.

Our longtime Assistant Superintendent for Business, Mike Jumper, will be leaving us for retirement at the end of this school year. We thank Mike for the outstanding service he has provided our District for the last 11 years. We wish him well in his new endeavors.

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, our Board appointed David Quattrocchi to be our Interim Assistant Superintendent for Business effective July 15, 2019. Mr. Quattrocchi was the Assistant Superintendent for Business in the Pleasantville School District for 16 years, until his retirement in 2017. Prior to that, he was the Director of Business Affairs for Southern Westchester BOCES. I’m confident he will work well with our outstanding team in the business office. Next year, we will search for a new Assistant Superintendent for Business.

In addition, I remind all families that in September, our schools will start and end at the following times:

  • Elementary Schools: 9:15 – 3:40
  • Middle & High Schools: 8:10 – 2:48

Please enjoy the weekend and then the final eight days of this school year.

Sincerely,

Andrew Selesnick, Superintendent of Schools
