Long Vowel Disco Party!

Students in Donna Dooley's kindergarten will always remember their long vowel sounds ... but they might not be able to say some words without dancing!
The class's fun-filled tribute to A, E, I, O and U was chock-full of activities that featured long vowel sounds. "Students arrived at school dressed in their best Friday night disco attire. We made GLOW stick centerpieces that decorated the class DISCO,and MICROPHONES that they used in the sing-off," said Dooley.
"We also had DISCO ball-on-a-spoon RACES and a LIMBO competition, then we did the hustle--after practicing together for weeks! After all that dancing, as a special treat, we had some LEMONADE. What a great DAY!"
