Jonathan Sprout’s music delights and inspires children!
His program is a variety show featuring five fun “Name that American Hero” guessing games about people ranging from Sacagawea to Martin Luther King, Jr., several catchy sing-alongs accompanied by a soundtrack and his twelve string guitar, and one crazy dance celebrating George Washington’s infamous crossing of the Delaware.

"I’ve written forty songs about American heroes,” Sprout told the students. “First, I do my homework. I read everything I can about the person I’m working on.”
He gestured to the array of biographies of the people he was singing about, all taken from their school library. “After I do a lot of research, I write my song and record it.”
“Most of our greatest heroes are not famous,” said Sprout. “Your teachers, parents, and the rescue workers in town are all heroes.”
