New Assistant Superintendent for Business

bringing strength and stability to the role

After an extended and extensive search, Danelle Placella, Katonah-Lewisboro School District’s current School Business Administrator, was appointed Assistant Superintendent for Business by the Board of Education on May 21, 2020.  

“Danelle will bring strength and stability to the role, and that’s particularly important in these challenging times,” said Superintendent Andrew Selesnick. “We are fortunate to have her experience and her knowledge.”

Placella has worked in the District’s business office since 2010—first as the District Treasurer, then as the School Business Administrator. Prior to joining KLSD, Placella worked in the business office of the North Salem Schools. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the Ancell School of Business, Western Connecticut State University, and her Master of Science in Educational Leadership and her School District Business Leader Certification from Pace University.

“I know the Katonah-Lewisboro School community, its day-to-day operations and the challenges that we are facing. I look forward to continuing all current programs and moving the District forward,” said Placella.
