Dr. Alleva Appointed as Asst. Supt. of HR

The Katonah Lewisboro School District announces the appointment of Dr. Neill Alleva to the position of Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources effective June 21, 2021. Dr. Alleva was appointed at the February 25 Board of Education meeting.

“Dr. Alleva will be a terrific addition to our team and I’m confident he will help in the continual forward progress of our District,” said Superintendent Andrew Selesnick. “My thanks to those colleagues and community members who were an important part of our hiring process.”

“I am thrilled beyond words to join the Katonah-Lewisboro community and truly look forward to building positive and healthy relationships in all corners of the district,” said Dr. Alleva.

Superintendent Selesnick highlighted that, throughout the screening and interview process, Dr. Alleva impressed the administrative team with his caring and compassionate commitment to children, to schools and to the people who work in them. “He recognizes and embodies the value of building trusting and honest relationship as key to an effective organization,” said Superintendent Selesnick. “He is dedicated to supporting students and colleagues in ways that affirm and strengthen their individual selves.”

Dr. Alleva has been the Principal of the Mamaroneck Avenue School in the Mamaroneck School District since 2018. He was previously the Assistant Principal at the same school and, prior to that, spent 15 years as a teacher in the NYC public schools. Dr. Alleva earned his doctorate in organizational leadership in education from Northeastern University, his master’s degree in education from St. John’s University and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Temple University.
