Black and Orange Math, a Katonah Elementary fall tradition for first graders, gives a seasonal twist to math games that reinforce students' skills, and adds family members for extra fun.
"Each first grade teacher chose a game that reinforced addition skills or counting fluency and number recognition to 120," said first grade teacher Kristin Couto. "The students and their families played each of the games in the four first-grade classrooms."
