Meet some of the student leaders at Increase Miller Elementary! The fifth-grade members of the IMpact for Kids club, advised by teacher Bebhinn Fahy, meet with Principal Kerry Ford before each of the school’s monthly Sharing Assembly and discuss ways they can help introduce the current heritage celebration. They recently introduced Hispanic Heritage Month with words from the Spanish language including hola and gracias, and by highlighting important people and places.
IMpact KIds began last year as an afterschool activity for grades 4 and 5.
“These fifth graders were the first fourth grade group to take part,” said Fahy. “They have shown interest and initiative, and I am so proud of their positive impact here at Increase Miller!”
