A key focus across our schools and district is Professional Learning Communities (PLC) - groups of educators who regularly collaborate, share best practices, and improve instructional strategies.

Congratulations to John Jay Robotics—it was awarded $8,000 from the Gene Haas Foundation.
"We’re incredibly grateful for this generous support,” said Jonathan Peter, robotics teacher at John Jay. “These funds will go directly toward parts and equipment to help our teams compete with at the highest level.”
In the past two years, John Jay’s robotics teams have represented the school at the World Championships and brought home New York State titles. “We’re excited for what’s ahead,” added Peter. “Next season is shaping up to be one of our best yet.”

John Jay High School's 2025 Community Read is "The Sing Sing Files" by Dan Slepian, a Katonah resident. He and the subject(s) of the book will be here in the fall to share their stories, motivations, and answer questions.

Katonah-Lewisboro’s next Board of Education meeting is Thursday, June 5, in John Jay High School’s cafeteria. The evening features the recognition of tenure candidates, retirees and outgoing Board of Education trustees.
A reception will be held in the John Jay High School cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. for tenure recipients, retirees and their guests. The public session begins at 6:30 p.m.
