The John Jay Theater Workshop dazzled audiences this past weekend with its spring musical production of Xanadu!
Set in Venice Beach in the 1980s, the stage came alive with roller-skating, disco balls, leg warmers - and even a Pegasus flying onstage. Over the past three months, students dedicated themselves to learning choreography, mastering songs, and developing the unique skill of acting on roller skates.
The production brought together 48 students in total: 26 cast members, 10 crew members, 9 costume designers, and 3 musicians in the pit.

In addition, 15 adults supported the production and direction of the show, including six JJHS teachers.
Many thanks to the administrative, support, and custodial staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
