Contact Tracing

KLSD is making every effort to minimize, to the extent practical, the number of contacts per day among students and staff. In the elementary schools this is done through the use of small cohorts that stay together for an entire school day. In the secondary schools, class sizes have been substantially reduced and we are attempting to reduce the number of class meetings per day.

Student and staff attendance will be monitored and maintained.

All of the above will help in the facilitation of contact tracing, if and when it becomes necessary.

In the event of a confirmed case of COVID-19 that has been present in one or more of our schools, KLSD will be in touch immediately with our school’s medical director and with the Westchester County Department of Health to determine current guidance and procedures related to contact tracing.
