Thanksgiving 2018

Dear KLSD Community,
In the spirit of this week, I write simply to say thank you.
Thank you to our families for entrusting us with your children and for joining us in believing in the value of public education.
Thank you to all my colleagues for your tireless efforts on behalf of our students. As the winter approaches, special thanks to those who are up before me on those snowy mornings, checking the safety of our roads and preparing our buildings to open for school. In this year when feedback is a particular focus for us, thank you to those colleagues who will tell me, “That’s a terrible idea! What are you thinking?” Every Superintendent needs that candor.
Thank you to our community for supporting our efforts.
And thank you to our students for giving your best effort every day, for caring for one another, and for giving us all hope for a bright future.
My best wishes to all for a healthy, restful, and joyful Thanksgiving.
