"We are very proud of our student leaders!"
Katonah Elementary School is proud to introduce its new cohort of Student Leaders. All forty-three students are fifth graders who applied for the opportunity by sharing a letter of interest. "Student leadership is a right of passage for our grade five students," said Assistant Principal Kweon Stambaugh. "Within our program, students are exposed to the values of service and collaboration, and serve as role models for other students."
Throughout the year, student leaders have opportunities to develop public speaking skills and consensus building. They will visit all K-5 classes to share important school-related information as well as details about their responsibilities as Student Leaders. "We are very proud and congratulate our new cohort of KES Student Leaders!" said Principal Cristy Harris.
