Edible Garden and Nature Trail
Kindergartners enjoyed visiting the KES Edible Garden and Nature Trail this fall.
They used their five senses in the garden to explore and observe plant life cycles. Kindergartners also helped to harvest the last of the season's tomatoes which were pickled and delivered to classrooms for a fun taste test.
The Nature Trail is a loop, approximately 1/3 of a mile, that extends behind KES. Students hiked along the trail and used their five senses to learn about plant and insect life. Some of their fall findings were even used as inspiration during Writers Workshops!
