Diversity Day

"We are like a tossed salad--a variety of flavors, textures, colors and shapes sharing the same space. Each part is important."

That's one of the important messages that John Jay High School's A World of Difference Club shares in a video they created for Diversity Day at Katonah Elementary School.  The  high school students will also Zoom into KES classes to speak with the students directly!

"Our goal is to make the world a safer, kinder place," said KES Social Worker Jessica Fulton, organizer of the annual celebration. "Here are resources to start your conversations with children about diversity, individuality and acceptance at home."
