Gardening together

A school-wide initiative

Each May, Increase Miller Elementary School students plant lettuce together and enjoy a school-wide Salad Day in June.

This year, the students are keeping this tradition in a socially distanced way. Each student received a seedling to bring home and plant with their family. When the leaves are ready to harvest, they'll enjoy an at-home Salad Day. The greens are being planted all around the Increase Miller neighborhood!

A special thanks to the IMES PTO who paid for the seedlings and the IM Garden Committee (Alison Llewellyn, Jon Aker and Bebhinn Fahy) for preparing the seedlings and how-to video for students.
