Rite of Autumn

“Rite of Autumn,” the student art show of John Jay High School, opens Thursday, November 16. Enjoy during the intermission of John Jay Theater Workshop’s fall production.

Rite of Autumn includes work from Studio Art and Design, Photography and Filmmaking, Ceramics and Sculpture and the different levels of Drawing and Painting.

This first show of the year highlights work students have developed and chosen to share with the school community,” said art teacher Diane Nerwen. “The varied content and materials represent the individual artists within the JJHS Art program who develop their ideas, practice with materials and create work that is driven by personal interests.”
