Fall Sports Overview
We had an extremely successful and healthy fall sports season in which we saw all of our teams succeed both on and off the field and enjoy their respective sports!
Our Women's Soccer team finished the season 3rd in the league and lost to the number 3 seed in Pearl River in the sectional tournament. Drew Diguglielmo and Brooke Habinowski both received All Section Honors. Maddie Slogoff earned All Section Honorable Mention.
Men’s Varsity Soccer completed their season with a third consecutive trip to the Section 1 playoffs. The boys were tested this season with one of the more difficult schedules in Section 1, but were ousted in double-OT in the first round of the sectional tournament. Their final record was 6-11.
Women's Varsity Swim and Dive finished 4th in League 1 with a 6-3 record. The team place fourth at Conference 1 Championships. All-League was achieved by Ashley Piacentino, Jessica Crane, Lexi Riolo and Rachele Bachmann.
The Women's Varsity Volleyball team had a strong season going 9 – 6 and earned co-champions of their league. They dropped a tough battle to Pearl River in the section tournament.
In Cross Country, Max Goodman highlighted strong varsity performances with wins at the Fred Gressler Invite in White Plains, and the Brewster Bear Invitational at Brewster. Max, Kye Viall, Liam Tuohy, Grace Kenny and Olivia Cervantes were All-League performers and Max was All-County as well.
Women's Varsity Tennis had a solid season posting a 13-3 overall record. They won the league going undefeated in league play. At the end of the year they made it to the quarterfinals of the team tournament.
Varsity Field Hockey had an outstanding season finishing with a record of 14-3-3 including a tie with perennial powerhouse Lakeland, something our program has never been able to achieve. The season concluded by going toe to toe with Lakeland in the section championship. In their sectional playoff run they outscored opponents by a combined total of 20-3. Coach Walsh earned Coach of the Year Honors in section 1 for the tremendous job she did this year.
Varsity Football finished with yet another winning season going 5-4. Jay won a close game yesterday against Clarkstown North in a bowl game winning by a score of 21-14 after losing a tough battle to the number 1 seeded Rye last week in the sectional playoffs. Both Craig Galea and Tyler Paladino earned Lo Hud Player of the Week honors for their outstanding performances earlier in the season.
