Relay for Life

Relay for Life at John Jay High School’s Contest Field on June 24 was a beautiful and meaningful success! The high school's club, one of thousands around the world, raises money for American Cancer Society research and more.

The Katonah-Lewisboro community event began with Pledge of Allegiance led by local Girl Scouts and a welcome from John Jay’s Relay for Life Club officers.

The fun included cornhole and spike ball on the turf field, a pie-throwing tent hosted by Apex Fitness, Stretchy Foam Fun led by Relay for Life Team 2025 (all rising sophomores), a one-mile Fun Run, a kids’ 200-meter race and a Survivors and Caregivers Lap.

One of the most meaningful moments was the night-time lap around the track lit by luminaria in remembrance of a loved one lost, someone currently battling cancer or anyone who’s overcome it.

Thank you student organizers Blair Selig, Angela Cioffi and others, as well as club advisor Alexa Kauffman.
