Welcome, Dr. Raymond Blanch!

New Superintendent Begins July 15

Dr. Raymond Blanch was appointed Superintendent of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District at the June 20, 2024, Board of Education meeting. His tenure will begin on July 15, 2024.

“I can’t wait to get started,” said Dr. Blanch.

He spoke to the energy of Katonah-Lewisboro Schools’ administrative team and the quality of the Board of Education, as well as the commitment and engagement of the District’s faculty, educational staff and support staff. “KLSD is a wonderful place,” he said, adding his excitement for moving the District’s vision forward.

An experienced leader

Prior to the Board of Education meeting, the District hosted a reception for Dr. Blanch and his wife Sue. There was a neighborliness at the gathering, underscoring the fact that Dr. Blanch was coming from a District only a few miles away.

“Dr. Blanch comes to us with an extensive background as a superintendent, both in Colorado and at the Somers School District,” said School Board President Julia Hadlock. “During our conversations, the Board was incredibly impressed by his care for students, and his insistence on having student voice be part of the decisions that happen in a district.”
